Whitby Aero Modellers, located in Brooklin, Ontario, provide a safe and enjoyable way to experience the freedom of flight without ever leaving the ground. Our immaculate facilities and experienced instructors set the perfect stage for learning about RC flight. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to take to the skies, then pop by for a visit. We'll be happy to answer all your questions and help you get started.

We are proud to be a teaching club! Qualified instructors are available at no charge to our members. Our instructors will check-out your plane, teach you pre-flight checks, field safety rules, level flying techniques, landings and takeoffs. Once you earn your wings you have full access to the flight line to fly unassisted.

Once you've got your wings, you can participate in activities like Fun Flies, a Frozen Finger Fun Fly January 1st, scale rallies and more.

If you have any questions about RC Flying or if you're ready to get started, please contact any of the executives on this page.

See you at the field!

Attention New Pilots!

Our instructors will help you learn to fly safely and you'll have a lot more fun that going it alone. Check out the instructors page to arrange training time. It's the best way to learn to fly and totally free. We're here to help. Additionally, new pilots are encouraged to come out on Tuesday nights from 6 - dusk during the summer months. The club has designated this time for flight instruction and you can always be sure to find the help you need to learn to fly safely!

A huge thank-you to all who attended and volunteered for this event. We were very successful this year and look forward to 2011! Thank You as well to all the vendors, without you guys, this event wouldn't exist! See you in 2011!

Membership
Just wanted to let everyone know that as of last night's meeting (Feb 21, 2010), we have 47 paid members.

In contrast, at the end of February 2009, we had 21.

It looks like we're doing something right! Thanks everyone!
