Welcome to the Whitby Aeromodellers
We are a group of dedicated RC enthusiasts who enjoy all aspects of our hobby from designing, building, and flying model airplanes, helicopters, and quadcopters.
I have been involved in RC aircraft for many years and still have the first Kadet trainer my father bought me as a junior member of the club.
If you are new to the hobby, or have any interest in any aspect of RC Aviation, please do not hesitate to contact myself or any member of the club. We are all here to help and can assist you in selecting a suitable aircraft and provide all necessary training to ensure success in this sport.
Welcome to our club!

WAM Field Outline & Rules
Looking at the aerial photo of the field below, there is no flying behind (the south side, the side with the flying stands) the red line and the projection of the red line to the East (left in the photo below). It is imperative to not overfly the dog walking park (which is South-East of the club, up and left off the page in the image below). There is a strictly enforced noise limit of 88dB at 3 meters.
Takeoffs and landings should be conducted parallel to the runway and flying over the runway area (yellow bounded area) is only to be conducted during takeoffs and landings.
